This certificate authenticates the Battle of Britain Commemorative Medal, struck in exquisite pieces worldwide, each medal is individually numbered on the rim. Hallmarked for authenticity, the medal measures 2 inches in diameter and weighs 89.8 grams. Dating from September 1940, it is a powerful tribute to the pilots of the Battle of Britain. One side of the medal bears the immortal words: “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” The other side depicts a powerful scene of planes soaring through clouds, capturing the spirit of defiance and courage.
