The 2024 quarter ounce Britannia gold coin is made of 24-carat gold (999.9 fineness).

The new 2024 Britannia ranges boasts four new special security features, including a trident hologram which changes to a padlock when the coin is tilted. Other features include new detailing to Britannia’s shield, a second inner circle of Latin text, and a micro-detail wave effect in the coin’s background.

Due to their status as British Legal tender they are Capital Gains Tax Free (CGT Exempt). This coin contains one-quarter troy ounce (7.77 grams) of fine gold. This coin is 99.99% (24 carat) gold.
