The 2024 one tenth (1/10) ounce Britannia Gold Coin employs a combination and redefines security within the bullion market. Philip Nathan’s 1987 Britannia design stands as strong and as beautiful as ever, enhanced and protected just as the micro-text that borders the design states – ‘DECUS ET TUTAMEN’, which translates as ‘An ornament and a safeguard’. Reflecting the flow of waves as you move the coin, surface animation features in the background. A latent feature in the lower left-hand segment of the coin switches between a trident and a padlock based on the viewer’s perspective, which emphasises both Britannia’s naval strength and the secure nature of the coin.

The 2024 one tenth (1/10) ounce Britannia gold coin is made of 24-carat gold (999.9 fineness). The new 2024 Britannia ranges boasts four new special security features, including a trident hologram which changes to a padlock when the coin is tilted. Other features include new detailing to Britannia’s shield, a second inner circle of Latin text, and a micro-detail wave effect in the coin’s background. This gold bullion coin has a face value of £10.00. Due to their status as British Legal tender they are Capital Gains Tax Free (CGT Exempt). This coin contains one-tenth troy ounce (3.13 grams) of fine gold. This coin is 99.99% (24 carat) gold.
